No matter if you are in the Augusta, GA area, the heart of Texas or the busy streets of NYC, nothing says the holidays are here like homemade Gingerbread Houses! Our oldest son, Jackson, asked us to host a Gingerbread House Party at our home and, of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for creativity! Listen, this isn’t my first time at this gingerbread house rodeo – not saying that I am a Gingerbread House savant, BUT… I know my way around the pre-made, boxed options out there.

Let’s just say that I have purchased the ones that take F-O-R-E-V-E-R to put together – you have to wait an hour after you put them together to decorate – not conducive for a party that moves along at an appropriate pace! I am always so happy watching children being creative, working cooperatively and praising others for their work. This might just become a tradition in the Cooper Household! Anyone know of any Gingerbread House competitions? We might need to take this to the next level!
