When I say that I like to pamper my clients, I truly mean it. Between special contests, mini sessions and little touches, I feel like I am always trying to find ways to thank my clients for choosing me by giving them a true “experience”. But, I have to say that it doesn’t matter how your portraits look on a computer or what type of delicious desserts I bring to your home, if your prints don’t look good, then I haven’t done my job. If you have been reading my blog and posts, you know that I am a coupon clipper and always trying to find ways to save money, but you also know that I don’t mind spending money on quality products (HELLO Starbucks!) and that is where I think I truly pamper my clients. Could you buy a disc of all your portraits and print them at Walmart, Target or CVS – yes, you could, but do I recommend that? “N” to the “O” – NO!!!! “But it looks the same, doesn’t it?” is what you are thinking, right? “N” to the “O” – NOOOOO!!! (Sorry for the all the shouting!)

Augusta GA Newborn Photographer one image of the same portrait printed from different print labs | Mary Beth's Photography

If you receive digital files from me, I have a professional lab that consumers and clients can use (it is the same one that I order from!). Prints are sent to you within a matter of days and the quality of the print is – and this is where it gets tricky – ACTUALLY your true portraits’ colors, exactly what you saw at your session premiere! It is amazing (as you can see for the attached samples)! Included in this post are ACTUAL prints from a retail store and my professional lab – this is how different the quality is – I haven’t tweaked these images at all, except for laying the prints next to each other and labeling. It is crazy the difference, right? What are you most shocked about in the differences?
