My baby is 9-years-old – When did this happen?? Technically, the answer is August 31, 2015, but didn’t I just give birth to her? Wasn’t I just helping her walk her first steps? Wasn’t it just yesterday that she was learning the alphabet? How is she possibly NINE?? This year, for Brenna’s birthday, I asked her to pick 2 friends to do something super special with her and she, of course, picked her best friend Maddie and Maddie’s sister Sarah and we (along with the girls’ Mom, Amie), headed into Atlanta on Monday (Adventure Days count as School Days, right?!?) to stop in at the American Girl Doll store and cafe!
I have to tell you that the experience was truly magical. The food was delicious, the service was spectacular and it was perfect. If you don’t have an American Girl Doll, you can borrow one from the store to have at the party or bring your own – I mean, even the restroom stalls have a place for your doll to sit while you use the restroom – Did they think of EVERYTHING??
Brenna was able to pick out a few items for her birthday with gift cards she had received and she got her doll’s ears pierced, too.
In June, we did a birthday portrait session of Brenna with a Tea Party in my studio, too! Aren’t these adorable?
What a special day for a such a special girl! I am beyond blessed to be able to celebrate sweet Brenna’s birthday! 🙂
