Ok, so this month, I have “talked” to you about The Reality of Christmas and how I am taking on organization in 2017, but this week I wanted to tell you about one of my favorite traditions that we have in our house during December!

2016-12-23_0001Two years ago, Jackson asked me if he could have a Gingerbread House- Making party with some of his friends.  It was a big hit and we have done it every year since.

Last weekend, we hosted the 2016 event and it was so much fun.  Jackson usually has a bunch of friends over and Brenna had some friends over as well, this year.  Each house has three decorators and I usually buy the houses from Costco – the pre-built ones that are easy to decorate – and I usually buy them early, since I know we host this party.  2016-12-23_0003
Brett even made a bonfire in the backyard this year.  It was a big hit.  I love this tradition so much!
