Genetics are an interesting thing, I tell you. I can tell you exactly who I get my eye color from, my hair color and curly hair. I can also tell you that I have been told many times that my caring personality reminds people of my Mom and my sense of adventure and entrepreneur mindset is my Dad. So, my question is this… is enjoying arts and crafts a genetic thing? Because I swear it is genetic! Is that one of the things they look for in a genetic profile? Eyes- Brown (Chromosome 15), Hair – Brown (Chromosome 4), Arts and Crafts Lover – why YES that comes directly from Chromosome AWESOME!

I tell you all of this because my sweet little mini-me has become sort of addicted to Perler Beads. Her friend Maddie introduced her to them when she bought her a kit. Last month we made Valentine’s Hearts which hung from our chandelier.

I have found kits at Walmart, Target, Hobby Lobby, and Michaels and they usually come with different shape ideas you can make or you can find a bunch online, too. What I love about the project is that it is challenging, but Brenna (9-years-old) can really feel accomplished doing this craft. It does require an adult’s help, because you have to iron the completed design over wax paper!
