Timing is everything, right? As an entrepreneur, you are constantly trying to stay on trend and keep up with the ever-changing scope of social media marketing, you are looking for new ways to engage prior customers and reuse old ways to acquire new customers. There are times when you feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to get work done and then you come home to a hungry husband and hungry kids at 8 p.m. and think, “I don’t have the energy to eat, let alone cook for other people!” But then a few years go by and you start seeing results of all your long hours and hardwork and once you are able to keep your nose at least above water, you realize that there were many other entrepreneurs working as hard as you right in your backyard!
The timing of joining a networking group is truly unique for each person. Many people have recommended groups to me over the years, but i just felt as though I didn’t have the time to dedicate. Last year, I realized that I was never going to get into a zone of having a perfect schedule, but I was at a tipping point in my business and I needed strong professionals by my side to help push me to the next level and I knew that I had a lot to offer to other professionals, too.
Through a friend, I was introduced to the Successful Women’s Mastermind Alliance (SWMA) networking group. Each month, business women in the area meet at a luncheon where we are given the opportunity to interact with each other and learn from speakers on topics including personal and business development. The dues are so reasonable at $125 and you pay for each lunch you attend – membership price is $22 and non-member price is $30.
Timing really is everything and I am so thankful that my timing has lead me to SWMA! What an amazing group of women – I can’t wait to learn even more from them! (Learn more about how SWMA came to Aiken by reading this article!)
