Augusta GA Newborn Photographer Goes Gluten Free

Find out more about how I am “Capturing Life’s Beautiful Moments” in my All Natural Light Studio and On Location as the Augusta GA Newborn Photographer and Augusta GA Family Photographer in the greater Augusta, GA area by visiting my website www.MaryBethsPhotography.com.

Last year, I wasn’t feeling great – itchy hands, swelling in my legs and just ugh! After describing my symptoms to a few of my friends, they suggested that I try removing gluten from my diet. I was curious – could gluten really be affecting me so much? I purchased the “Wheat Belly Book” and learned about how wheat is an inflammatory product and how it has changed over time and is affecting more and more people. I decided to give it a try – what did I have to lose? So, I committed to 6 weeks of no gluten.

Game. Changer. I really couldn’t believe it at first, but the itchiness in my hands went away, the swelling in my legs went away and that constant stomach bloat – went.away.!!! What?!? I have tried a variety of products in my now gluten-free days and here are a few that really stand up, which you can see in this image. I really like how Bisquick’s gluten free pancake mix is a 1 for 1 substitution, which I am finding in a variety of other products, too. Udi’s Pizza is super tasty and Costco even has a great gluten free two-pack pizza. I haven’t looked back and have intermixed many things with my family, too. Amazing!
