I love looking at quotes for inspiration and one day I stumbled upon this one that made me smile brighter and hold my head higher, “Women who support other women are confident, generous, visionaries.” I may not get all things right in life, but there is one thing that I know for sure about who I am to the core and that is someone who supports, believes in and raises up other women, not only because it is the right thing to do, but because there is a little girl living in my house who needs to see how we should treat others.
As a female business owner, I have surrounded myself with people who have helped me tremendously, but there are two people with whom I have formed business relationships that have moved me in ways that I never thought possible. Karrie Lykins of Karrie Lykins Makeup Artist and Dana Turner of Dolce Delights by Dana.
Dana and Karrie have been supporting Mary Beth’s Photography over the last few years. Karrie is my “go to” make-up artist for portraits. Karrie is available for all portrait sessions, but she is included in senior sessions for girls and for our maternity pampering sessions for Moms! Dana is the mind behind all the delicious cake smash cakes at the one year portrait sessions. Those cakes are as delicious to eat as they are to look at and photograph! Dana is also the creator of the delicious oatmeal pies at our premiere sessions.
